What do You Mean?

Genesis 50:19-21 NKJV “Joseph said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.”

There is a mysterious battle of opposition noted in scripture.

The intent of the enemy is always to LAUNCH an onslaught of unthinkable actions and circumstances, always with the same purpose: to sacrifice a promise (Abraham), to stumble righteousness (Job), to extinguish a vision (Joseph), to bring failure to a call (Moses), to thwart an anointing (David), to remove the cup of the new covenant (Jesus), to silence a testimony (Peter)...etc.

Throughout, he relentlessly brings accusation and argument before the court of heaven as is his right. And so the evil intent commences, is seemingly successful for a time, yet not really.

There’s only one ultimate outcome for those who belong to Christ.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8:28 NLT

But, the Divine force is much greater in all aspects of nature, dominion, and benevolence in that He (Jesus) even has the ability and unique power to cause the meaning for evil to be transformed into a meaning for good, and even a far greater good than was originally intended, thus making useful and inert the plans of the enemy.

And so, Job refuses to blame God. Joseph holds his vision. Moses becomes a shepherd of God's people. David takes his throne with dances of joy. Jesus is given authority over all things and shares it with His Church. Peter ushers in the explosion of the “Ecclesia.”

So, be encouraged, faithful one. Even in the bad, remain faithful to HIS purpose because God means you good.
